Dear all, I propose again the concept of one of my first meetups organized in Belgium four years ago.
In this photowalk in Bruges we exercise on the surrealist paintings of René Magritte, trying to emulate the style of works like L’Empire des Lumieres (1954) adding of course our zest.
We desired light is the one of the twilight, so beloved to Magritte that in the north last longer, as the Sun descends slower as it follows a less tilted orbit respect the horizon line.
The Coupure channel of Bruges would be a nice spot where we can find together water (for the reflections), trees and old buildings. We will meet in front of the entrance of the SNCB Brugge Station (side of the buses) at 15. People coming from Brussels can take the IC 535 train from Brussels central at 13:56.
At the end of the twilight, when is completely dark, we can gather all together to the Christmas market, one of the most suggestive of Europe.
It’s advisable to bring tripod and telephoto lens to have a flat perspective.
The event might be cancelled due to adverse weather condition, any update will be posted at the Meetup page.
