Photoresk Terms of Service (ToS)

This document outlines the terms for using Photoresk and your rights as a participant.
Welcome to Photoresk! By using our website, participating in events, or interacting with us on Meetup, Facebook, or other platforms, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. General
Photoresk is a community platform based in the European Union (Belgium), dedicated to sharing, learning, and promoting photography. The platform is currently free to use, but paid services may be introduced in the future. These terms govern your use of the site and related services.
Use of the platform is voluntary. We may suspend or terminate access for users who violate these terms or community guidelines.
2. Content Ownership and Usage Rights
You retain full copyright and ownership of all photos, stories, and other content you upload.
By sharing content on Photoresk.com, our Meetup page, or our social media channels, you grant Photoresk and its assigns a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, share, adapt, and promote this content to showcase the Photoresk community. This includes:
- Use on Photoresk.com and Meetup
- Social media, newsletters, event pages, or community galleries
- Cropped or resized versions for layout and promotion
We will make every reasonable effort to credit you as the author or creator.
If you wish a specific item removed, contact us and we will remove it without delay.
Do not upload portraits of other members without their permission.
3. Event Participation and Liability
Participation in Photoresk events (virtual or physical) is voluntary and at your own risk. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Photoresk does not provide insurance. Users are responsible for their own safety and equipment.
Organizers and hosts cannot be held liable for accidents, damages, or losses unless due to unlawful or intentionally harmful behavior.
4. User Conduct and Content Guidelines
We aim to maintain a respectful and inclusive space. You agree not to post or share content that contains:
- Hate speech, violence, or discrimination
- Explicit adult content or illegal activity
- Spam, advertising, or unauthorized commercial messages
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
5. Good Faith and Interpretation
These Terms are written in the spirit of fairness and community. If any section is unclear or partially unenforceable, it shall be interpreted in good faith and in a way that reflects the purpose of the Photoresk platform.
6. Changes to the Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform constitutes your acceptance of any updates.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by local ans EU law. Disputes shall be resolved through amicable communication whenever possible, or via the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform if needed: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/
