Hola amigos, join us at the yearly Dia De Muertos, a bright and colourful procession with masks and floats.
A valuable occasion to get in touch with the Mexican culture. This tradition was inscribed in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
The Dia De Muertos (day of the death) is an occasion for families to commemorate the deceased loved ones. The observance falls during the Christian period of Allhallowtide and it arguably linked with ancient Aztec practices.
You can come dressed and wearing/holding lights, check pics of how people celebrate this day if unsure.
We meet in front of Boulangerie Patisserie Anas (Rue des Tanneurs 125, 1000 Bruxelles) before 18:45 and then at 18:45 we move together to find a place where to wait for the parade to arrive and take photos. Then we continue the evening at Jeu de Balle, following the programme of the festival.
